What is micro-needling?

Micro needling uses a very safe device, like an electronic ‘pen’ to create multiple ‘micro traumas’ to the skin (ironically, in a very controlled, trauma-free way!) Simply put, micro-needling is the insertion of very fine, short, sterilized needles into the skin for rejuvenation. When the skin feels these pinpricks, your body will naturally rush to heal them, resulting in a plumped, more youthful appearance. But the positive effects are more than just the immediate effect. These micro-injuries stimulate the natural production of collagen and elastin in the area being treated, plumping, stretching and refreshing the skin.

But I don’t like needles!

If the prospect of multiple small needle wounds sounds slightly ominous to you, know that the punctures are more like pin pricks that are only surface-level deep. We also ensure that the treatment is very well tolerated by using a numbing gel on the skin before we start.

Are there any areas we cannot treat?

Fancy a meso-therapy cocktail with that microneedling?

Mesotherapy is a skin rejuvenation treatment that can be used on areas of both the face and body. Mainly used to improve the appearance of a tired complexion, mesotherapy can reduce the look of wrinkles and an uneven tone on the face and neck. The same principles can be applied to the skin on other areas of the body, helping to fade stretch marks, cellulite and even to encourage new hair growth.

During the mesotherapy treatment the micro needling device is applied to the surface of the skin. The series of microinjections will then enable a nourishing solution of active ingredients to penetrate down to the mesoderm (the layer of fat and tissue that lies just beneath the skin). This process helps to encourage the production of collagen and elastin for skin that is firmer and fuller, as well as improving circulation and hydration. When used to address cellulite and stretch marks, it is the growth of new collagen that enhances the health and condition of the skin for a smoother, more even appearance.
